Trending: Scallops and Scales

We’re calling it the ‘Blue Planet effect’ because this season’s interior looks took a dive deep under the ocean with sea creatures swimming across every surface. From scalloped furniture (we're loving the super scalloped A/W18 Anthropologie x Bethan Grey collection) to fish scale tilesand all things curved, wavy and ocean-inspired, we’ve fallen hook, line and sinker for the under the sea trend.

Livingetc loves Alessi’s Mediterraneo coral-shaped fruit bowl for a tablescape made in marine heaven. Plus, plaster walls with John Derian’s Captain Thomas Browns Shells wallpaper to bring the seabed to life. Time to dust off that snorkel…

2. MARINE RUG

Made to make you feel like you're on a beach with your toes in the water, the graphic pattern of the Marin rug reminds us of waves lapping a white sandy beach – or the bright blue scales of tropical parrot fish. Either way, we reckon it'llhelp fend off the winter blues a little longer.
